About Lauren

My Loves…

I love many things…Jesus, coffee, my husband Justin, wine, really good food, my three daughters- Kali, Kendal and Karleigh; crafting, planning elaborate birthday parties but not actually throwing elaborate parties, Michael Kors, the Bible, gallery wraps, exclamation points, daydreaming of vacations, country concerts at Riverbend, Fixer Upper, and visiting my family in Florida.

My Life…

I am a newborn, child and family photographer living in Cincinnati, New Richmond to be exact.   I have been married to my saint of a husband Justin for 11 years. We have three really beautiful daughters, Kali who is 8, and the epitome of a first born; independent, fiercely loyal and loves ballet and horses.  Kendal who is 5 1/2, and is the most adorable one and the one who overreacts at everything, and who loves legos and is my foodie. She regularly asks me to make King Crab Legs, Shrimp or mushrooms on a daily basis!  Last is Karleigh who is 2 1/2.  She is our surprise baby and has grown me in my addiction to coffee, and who melts my heart every day.  You will see my Instagram feed full of images of my little tribe. We recently moved to an old farmhouse with 7 acres of land.  We are easing into farm life with mice, snakes and moles, leaky ceilings and outdated bathrooms, but we love it!

How I fell in love with photography…

I started out taking photographs in high school with a 35mm film camera.  I had a lackluster photography teacher, who hated his job and most of the students he taught.  I learned to develop film, make prints in the darkroom and to not ask dumb questions. His general disdain for students ignited a desire in me to be a better photography teacher than he was.  So I decided to attend Flagler College in St. Augustine Florida with a major in Art Education. Which was the closest major they offered to my goal of becoming a photography teacher.  As fate would have it, I met Justin my second year there, and knew in the first two weeks I wanted to marry him.  I transferred to NKU to finish up my degree and changed my major to Applied Photography. I learned from four amazing professors, who encouraged me, challenged me and cultivated a work ethic in me that I wouldn’t have had otherwise.  After working at a department store portrait studio for almost a year I wanted to go out on my own and Lauren Bryson Photography was created.  I also worked for a fun children’s portrait studio in West Chester.  By that time our friends were all having babies and we joined the crowd. Fast forward through two more children, a family name change, four houses, one dog, and a new school.  My life is filled with dating my husband, raising three girls, capturing families, working part time with my husband’s family business, cooking, cleaning, laundry, laundry and more laundry.  I love the church we attend and love to talk about Jesus.  I have some amazing friends due to the people I’ve met through our church. Come with us any time! Here is the website, we usually go to the 9am service.

I love to grow friendships through capturing memories for my clients. I am humbled when families want me to capture them. Family is so important to me and I want to hang heirloom quality artwork in your house that make you smile.  Feel free to contact me to see if we are a good fit!
